Three-Letter Acronyms & Four-Letter Words

I am not sure what I was expecting in regards to how busy the trade show floor would be.

Last year the trade show seemed to be about 1/2 the size of this year. And since I was attending the conference last year (vs exhibiting) I honestly didn't go down to the trade show floor except for when they sort of forced us down there (lunch and free beer).

There was a mad-dash when the trade show doors first opened, everyone was going for the free t-shirts. Which reminds me I need to try to get mine tomorrow.

I spent a good chunk of today in the booth. We have a schedule and I was there when I wasn't schedule, but I am not complaining, I was stuck there because I was talking with people. It was not as if I was stuck there waiting for someone to come and 'tag-out'.

I had some very good conversations and some conversations that ultimately won't lead to any business, but at least the conversations were interesting.

Well I am done with email and looking to grab a snack (read dinner).

Jack called me a little bit ago and told me that he was heading to the Pub nearby.

I think I will scoot on down there.

No not music, the Webmaster Jam Session in Dallas.

The Jaduka dev team have all come up to the conference. I believe that we will learn some good principles from the sessions and I also believe that it will be a good team building experience as well. I also hope to learn a little bit more about the web developer culture.

My experiences at Web 2.0 have was useful in better understanding the type of developers that Jaduka is looking to interact with as Jaduka offers out web services.

The conference is in Dallas today and tomorrow, with a 9pm party on Saturday night hosted by Adobe. Jeremy's flight back to Long Island is on Sunday morning, my B-day, from DFW. So hopefully, the party on Saturday night doesn't go too long, or Jeremy might miss his flight.

I will be snapping pictures periodically during the conference, but I think I left the USB connection cable back at the office, so those might not come off my phone for a few days. Too bad my laptop doesn't have built-in Bluetooth.

Well the conference is about to start.
